Family Faith Conversations: January 4th 
Weekly check back for four days of scripture and questions tied to our weekly messages at GSLC HSM. 

This week we kicked off our our new series:"Core"


"For the message of the cross is foolishness to those who are perishing, but to us who are being saved it is the power of God." - 1 Corinthians 1:18

This winter and spring, your teen will discover what is at their core and how God calls us to have him at the center of everything.

This week we focus on 1 Corinthians chapter 1. 

Day 1
Scripture: 1 Corinthians 1:1-3

1. What was your high and low this week?
2. Read the scripture passage together
3. Who is Paul writing to in 1 Corinthians?
4. What does Paul mean by, "who call on the name of our Lord Jesus Christ"
5. Where in your life do you need to call on the name of Christ today?

Day 2
Scripture 1 Corinthians 1:4-9

1. What was your high and low today? 
2. Read the scripture passage together
3. Why did Paul thank God?
4. What does God give us according to these verses?
5. How in your life do you need more of these things from God today?

Day 3
Scripture: 1 Corinthians 1:10-17

1. What was your high and low today? 
2. Read the scripture passage together
3. What was the problem happening in the church in Corinth?
4. Why do you think Paul was concerned about this problem?
5. How might God be calling you to focus on his work today and not the work of humanity?

Day 4
Scripture: 1 Corinthians 1:18-31

1. What was your high and low today?
2. Read the scripture passage together
3. What surprises you about this passage?
4. How does this passage change how you think about wisdom and foolishness?
5. What is God showing you today in this passage?
