This Week's Topic
"Fixing Your Eyes"

" So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen, since what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal."
2 Corinthians 4:18


This week we will are turning to the book of 2 Corinthians as we swift our conversations towards focusing on what it means to live for Christ and be shaped by the Holy Spirit.
This week we focus on 2 Corinthians chapter 4 and 5. 

Day 1
Scripture: 2 Corinthians 4:1

  1. What was your high and low this week?
  2. Read the scripture passage together
  3. How would you define "God's mercy"?
  4. How has God's mercy affected your life?
  5. How might you need God's mercy right now, so that you do not lose heart?
  6. Pray for each other
Day 2
Scripture 2 Corinthians 4:3-6
  1. What was your high and low today? 
  2. Read the scripture passage together
  3. How have you seen God's light transform darkness?
  4. What does this passage tell you about how God desires to use us as light in the word? 
  5. How might God be calling you to be light in your day to day life?
  6. Pray for each other
Day 3
Scripture: 2 Corinthians 4:7-12 and 16-18
  1. What was your high and low today? 
  2. Read the scripture passage together
  3. What do you think Paul meant when he said, "We always carry around in our body the death of Jesus..."?
  4. Reread 2 Cor. 4:16-17, how does this passage encourage you today? 
  5. Reread 2 Cor. 4:18, how does this passage call you to see the world differently this week?
  6. Pray for each other 
Day 4
Scripture: 2 Corinthians 5:17-21
  1. What was your high and low today?
  2. Read the scripture passage together
  3. Why do you think Paul used the present tense in the phrase, "the new creation has come"?
  4. According to these verses, what is God in the process of doing now? 
  5. Reread 5:17-21 and pick out a word or phrase that God might be speaking to you within this passage. What is it? Why does that stand out to you? 
  6. Pray for each other
