High School Youth Group
For the week of May 3rd, 2015
This Week's Topic
"Living Outward: Sharing Your Faith"
Theme Verse
"4 For we know, brothers and sisters loved by God, that he has chosen you, 5 because our gospel came to you not simply with words but also with power, with the Holy Spirit and deep conviction. You know how we lived among you for your sake." 1 Thessalonians 1:4-5
This week we will look at`1 Thessalonians 1 to see how the church in Thessalonica was transformed by the gospel and how they became a model of Christ to the communities around them. This Sunday, students will hear two stories of how Steven and Taylor both came to faith in Christ. At the same time, two students will share what it means for them to be God's chosen. It should be a great night!
Take advantage of our weekly family conversations. In fact, studies show that if your family talks about faith in the home, it is more likely that your teen will keep their faith once they graduate from high school. You can uses these short reflections and questions to talk about faith on a walk, in the car on the way to practice or school, or at the dinner table. I pray that your student and family will discover how God can shape your spiritual journeys together.
